Sunday evening Jadon and I were treated to a display of glorious proportions. The rain of the afternoon had stopped and the sun cast the pretty glows over the clouds. Ah, God is good. My soul was refreshed watching the sunrise Saturday morning over a local lake. Refreshed and strengthen – as only rest and nature can do. Father and Mother, and Me, We eat pork and beef We shoot birds with a gun. Let fear dissolve Unleash the wind A frozen waste A soul within Forgotten Like autumn leaves Fallin’ – it seems That all I hold Are broken dreams Forgotten I wanna believe again I wanna let hope rush in I wanna have Love take hold of me once more [...] My breath was taken away this morning as I looked out the kitchen window. The sun glinted off a fresh white blanket of snow in a way that made you forget everything else in the world. One glance is all it took to enter a tunnel – all senses attuned to the changing lights [...] My recent journey to the Society of Vineyard Scholars conference was also my first time visiting Seattle, Washington. Flying from Boise, I arrived a few hours before the conference started, so Roy Conwell, a great friend and the pastor of the Mountain Vineyard in Kent, WA, volunteered to show me around the city. The below pictures are from this quick tour. Last night was simple gorgeous! There are no words that can describe the beauty reflecting off the mountain snow as the sun completed its cycle. Pictures – well, they tell a thousand words, so please enjoy these six sweet pictures and bask in their poetry. This morning Creation screamed out for joy as the sun broke over the mountain peaks and poured over the whiteness below. It is amazing because last night I was listening to an old VLI lecture on church history. In this lecture Steve Robbins mentioned how the [...] I was slightly surprised this morning when I looked out the window for the fields where covered with a light dusting of frost and the mountains with snow.
